MCU Scheduling & Automation
Renovo's Video Conference Scheduling Software is, at it's core, an advanced scheduling solution that gives institutions and network administrators the power to effectively manage Multi-point Control Units in their video conference environment.
Simple MCU Scheduler…
-
Simplified, single page interface for scheduling MCU Conference.
-
Port-only scheduling for participant dial-in. Allows you to choose the the date, time, recurrence if appropriate. Choose the number of connections, create a PIN and check if you would like to stream, record or make the conference audio only.
-
Dial-in or dial-out from the MCU. This next step up allows you to schedule endpoints into the conference also.
-
Inviting or emailing participants. Participants can be invited (.ics email) or notified of the conference with the connection details in the email.
Hardware Neutral…
Video Scheduler schedules and controls most major brands of MCUs
MCU Capacity Checking…
Video Scheduler reads and displays the capacities of MCUs and their corresponding services at the time of scheduling. Video Scheduler also allows you to run reports for a future timeframe to view the capacities for MCU/s and their corresponding services for the defined timeframe.
MCU Usage Parameters…
Video Scheduler allows you to set parameters for MCU Selection. Video Scheduler can auto select the MCU based on defined administrative parameters. Video Scheduler can suggest to the user the most appropriate MCU for the conference. Video Scheduler can allow the user to choose the MCU they would like to use for the conference out of the MCUs they have been granted access to.
Conference Queuing…
Video Scheduler has a queuing function that allows you to schedule within the conference reservation limit of an MCU, while building fail over capabilities into your video network.
Infinite Scheduling…
Video Scheduler allows you to schedule MCU conferences as far into the future as you desire.
Automated Conflict Checking…
Before a conference is scheduled, Video Scheduler does a full conflict check to ensure that all the resources that are requested are available.
MCU Management…
A time period or queue is selected for how far in advance a conference should be placed on the MCU. This time period is determined based of the number of conferences that can be stored on the MCU at one time and the conference load of the network. When a conference is moved to the MCU, you will be able to see the conference through the native tools of the MCU.
MCU Management x 2…
If an MCU has an issue, the conferences are still stored in the Video Scheduler database and can be pushed to another MCU or re-sent to the current MCU when the issue with it is resolved. If the server environment that Video Scheduler resides in has an issue, you have already pushed conferences to the MCUs for a defined timeframe and should have no interruption to your video service.
Live Maintenance…
Video Scheduler allows you to dynamically control running MCU conferences (some features depend on MCU deployed).
Scheduling Recording Devices
Video Scheduler also schedules recording ports into an MCU conference.
Saving Recordings
Video Scheduler has the ability to read folders from certain recording devices, allowing you to select a folder to save it to at the time of scheduling.
