Renovo’s advanced video conference scheduling system will serve to foster collaboration and resource sharing within and across any state entities utilizing VicTrack’s service.
VicTrack, a state sponsored service provider in Victoria, Australia, is deploying Video Scheduler, an advanced video conference scheduling platform developed by Minneapolis based Renovo Software. The platform will first be implemented across Technical and Further Education, or TAFE institutions, and will later be expanded to include institutions within Victoria’s Department of Health.
Renovo Software has partnered with Australian company Azprin to provide VicTrack with a solution to decentralize the scheduling and management of their video conferencing network. In phase one of the deployment, VicTrack will utilize Renovo’s Video Scheduler to schedule, automate and manage five Cisco MCU’s across a network of several TAFE institutions. The goal is to expand the video network across all TAFE institutions in Victoria, and eventually begin working with the Department of Health.
Renovo’s advanced video conference scheduling system will serve to foster collaboration and resource sharing within and across any state entities utilizing VicTrack’s service. Students and staff at TAFE institutions will be able to offer and participate in classes, seminars, and other events across the network with a unique event offering module. Users within the network can search, discuss, suggest, or sign up for the events. Events offered through Video Scheduler are fully compatible with other built in features such as the message board (listserv), email notifications, and RSS feeds.
Scheduling is further streamlined by empowering users with precise control. Reservations can be scheduled as regularly recurring or with multiple instances at irregular intervals, old or existing reservations can be copied, and custom information fields can be added to any reservation. Users will even be able to edit individual instances within multiple and recurring reservations. Furthermore, administrators will have the capability to set up custom time blocks and durations for users to choose from during the scheduling process.
Administration of such complex, large scale video conferencing networks can be time consuming. Advanced privilege management, access rights management, endpoint approval, and MCU approval functionalities will serve to greatly simplify administrative responsibilities. The Renovo platform will also be used to send automated notices, configure MCU load balancing, monitor and maintain live network usage, create reports, and more.
