Orange County Correctional Facility

Orange County Correctional Facility in Orlando, Florida, has been a Renovo Software customer since deploying the first version of the company’s Video Visitation Solution in 2003. Today, Orange County utilizes Renovo’s Video Visitation Solution to schedule, automate and monitor more than 17,000 visitation sessions per month, on a network of approximately 260 video visitation stations in its video visitation center.

By reducing the amount of staff time required to transport inmates to and from a traditional visitation center, Orange County saves thousands of dollars every year. As an added advantage, the video visitation center eliminates the possibility of contraband entering the correctional facility during visiting hours, making it a much safer environment for Orange County’s employees and inmates.

Renovo Software’s Video Visitation Solution is integrated with Orange County’s Inmate Management System, resulting in completely synchronized monitoring of inmate location in the correctional facility. The solution determines the visitation station closest to an inmate and provides a schedule of availability. If an inmate is transferred to a different housing unit prior to a visitation, it automatically assigns a new visitation station in the correct housing unit.

Renovo’s Video Visitation Solution also makes it much easier for members of the public to schedule a visit. After coordinating a visit with a corrections officer at the video visitation center, a visitor simply arrives at the scheduled time, presents proper identification and – without waiting in line or being searched – can begin the video visitation session.
