MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS SELECTS RENOVO SOFTWARE TO PROVIDE TURNKEY VIDEO VISITATION SOLUTION AT LINO LAKES PRISON

Edina, Minn, August 29, 2009 – Renovo Software has been chosen to provide its turnkey Video Visitation Solution (VisManager™ software and VisStation™ hardware), including 7 IP-based video visitation stations, to Lino Lakes Prison in Lino Lakes, MN. Lino Lakes will utilize VisManager 4.0 to schedule, automate and manage its visitation policies, as well as provide web-based public scheduling – which gives the public the convenience of scheduling visits online, in advance. Lino Lakes chose to deploy a video visitation system for their maximum security housing units to increase the safety of offenders, staff, and visitors. The ultimate goal is to allow the Minnesota Department of Corrections to deploy Renovo’s IP video visitation solution in all of their state facilities, allowing them to connect any two stations on their network at any given time. This will allow visitors to choose the visitor center most convenient to them, and visit with an offender at another facility. Renovo’s public scheduling module will eliminate the typical issues associated with a first-come, first-served process. Renovo’s solution will be deployed in October of this year, in conjunction with the opening of Lino Lakes’ new visitation center.
